Fully automatic concentrates and roughage feeding 
The Mullerup Smart Feeder KOMBI Feeders can relieve you of most of the feeding work in the tied-up cow house. Fully automatic and exact dosing of individual rations of concentrates and roughage and automatic individual feeding of each cow is the concept behind Smart Feeder KOMBI that also manages the process of stepping up and down concentrates, electronic identification of the cows in the period of turning out to pasture and even takes into account the variable dry matter content of the feed. 

Smart Feeder KOMBI is a battery-driven, automotive and rail-mounted feeder with a capacity of 2.0 m3. 

The filling of up to 5 different concentrate types and 1 roughage type from auger or mixer or a hopper is effected by an impulse from the feeder when it is in filling position. The feeder's feed tanks can also be filled in its home position and along its route in the cow house - fully automatically, of course. 

Individual feeding
The enormous flexibility in Smart Feeder KOMBI ensures that the cows are fed individually acccording to their needs. Simply enter how many kilo per day each cow is to be fed and at what hours and then Smart Feeder will carry out the feeding work automatically, no matter what time it is. 

Smart Feeder weighs-out the exact amount of concentrates and roughage to be dispensed to each cow. It is possible to choose between the feeder dispensing on only one side or on both sides before moving along the row. If too much or too little feed is weighed-out in one place, the computer will register this and correct for it at the next feeding at the same place. 

A flexible tank system
The Smart Feeder KOMBI feeders are modular-built which ensures the flexibility to fit the feeder to the individual farm now and later in case of changes in the farm. The three basic models have a flexible tank system, making it possible to fit small tanks for e.g. minerals. 

The feeders are also available with special tanks, e.g. molasses equipment consisting of a tank, pressure-controlled drip-free jets and a pump for dosing liquid molasses. 

Steady stepping-up
It is crucial that stepping up and down of concentrates is carried out with small quantities over a longer period.  That is why Smart Feeder PLUS has a built-in stepping up and down program. The required quantity and period are entered into the computer and then the feeder manages the stepping up and down process. 

Identification
By means of electronic identification equipment for the cows, Smart Feeder KOMBI also manages the feeding work in the period of turning out to pasture where the cows do not have fixed places in the cow house. 

Save time and energy
Instead of lifting several hundred tonnes of concentrates and roughage during the year it is with Smart Feeder KOMBI only necessary to fill the hoppers in question. After filling the hoppers only feeding the young calves and milking the cows need to be done. Automatic filling and dispensing result in minimum feeding work.
